This is not a major job, the extent of which depends on whether the tiles only need repointing or every tile needs to be removed, cleaned, re-bedded and pointed, which is a bigger job. That being said it will ensure that your roof is protected for many years.

DRY RIDGE SYSTEM : Matthews Roofing Carlisle also supply and fit a dry ridge system which many of our customers now opt for.  Dry ridge systems can only be fitted on tiled roofs and are a little more costly but provide a maintenance free system which means no more mortar.

CHIMNEYS : If your chimney stack is showing any signs of loose mortar, cracked brickwork or is leaning to one side, Matthews Roofing Carlisle have the expertise to carry out the necessary repairs to the highest standards.In a best case scenario your chimney stack may just have some loose mortar which will only require repointing. Much more seriously your chimney stack might be leaning to one side or have cracked bricks and will need to be rebuilt with new bricks. The level of chimney demolition and rebuilding required depends on how far down the chimney the problem starts. Chimney demolition and Chimney rebuilding is a highly skilled Job.
